News is breaking that an unnamed British football fan has died in Nice, after falling over 20 feet from a promenade in the Southern French city.

Reports are confirming that the 24-year-old was a Northern Ireland supporter, who had made the journey to watch his country play Poland in their opening game of Euro 2016.

A Nice Police spokesperson said: "It happened before Northern Ireland's game with Poland on Sunday. Many fans were out on the promenade, and were drinking heavily when the man fell from the promenade. The victim was taken to Nice hospital but has since died."
